Division Responsibilities:

  1. Advise membership of actual and planned changes to IS system reporting, especially via the District Staff Officer, Information Systems.
  2. Prepare electronic bulletins and update notices for the IT system welcome screen.
  3. Identify IS user training needs and be responsible for preparation of the appropriate training materials.
  4. Identify future IS system enhancements needs.  Work with the Headquarters IS System Administrator to establish priorities and schedules.
  5. Make recommendations to the Chief, Department of Information Technology Services for improvements in the integrity of the IS system database.
  6. Participate in meetings and other communications activities with the technical contractors, Headquarters IS System Administrator, and non-technical CG and Auxiliary users.
  7. Establish and maintain proper controls over the IS system to safeguard the information as required by the Privacy Act, to include issuance of guidance to the field and required training instruction for elected and staff officers.
  8. Act as the department representative to the IS System Change Review Board.
  9. Establish and maintain a working relationship with the DSO-IS officers, insuring that they each receive the coaching necessary to perform their jobs.
  10. Understand the details of the IS system and the ad-hoc reporting system in order to provide assistance to Auxiliary and DIRAUX users.
  11. Monitor activity on the IS system and respond to user comments and questions.  Provide backup to the Headquarters IS System Administrator in the area of user assistance. Prepare and submit System Change requests, based on user input received, to the Headquarters IS System Administrator.
  12. Work with the various Departments to keep the ANSC Forms up-to-date and post the current versions on the National Forms site.

Division Projects:

  1. Write/update the criteria for AUX-10 C School, looking into extending the class by one day to have the beginners come in one day sooner than the more experienced Auxiliarists.
  2. Schedule six AUX-10 C School classes per FY.
  3. Update all forms to show DHS in lieu of Dept of Transportation.
