Division Responsibilities:

  1. Support National web sites as follows:
    1. Coding support.
    2. Review, report, and if appropriate suggest fixes for broken links.
    3. Help with template issues.
    4. Suggest modifications to improve web page loading.
    5. Ensure that standards as outlined in the CS Guide have been adhered to.
  2. Continue support for sites where the Web Presence team has primary responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to:
    1. Make changes in a professional and timely manner.
    2. Ensure that proper reviews have been performed by site owners before implementing changes.
    3. Proactively review sites to catch issues before they occur.
    4. Follow all standards as outlined in the CS Guide.
  3. Template maintenance:
    1. Maintain two sets of templates at the National level; one for FP/Expressions, and one for all others.
    2. Maintain two sets of templates for units below the National level; one for FP/Expressions, and one for all others.
    3. Poll the Auxiliary population for input on usefulness of the templates.
    4. Follow all standards as outlined in the CS Guide.
  4. Identify user needs and be responsible for preparation of the appropriate materials to allow our members to have a rich web experience.
  5. Make recommendations to the DIR-I and DIR-Id for improvements in web site technology.
  6. Establish and maintain a working relationship with the Departmental Webmasters, insuring that they each receive any coaching needed to perform their jobs.
  7. Participate in meetings and other communications activities with other CS officers as needed.
  8. Monitor activity on the National Web and respond to user comments and questions.

Division Projects:

  1. Convert/Support conversion of National sites to new template format.
  2. Create a standard set of unit templates and revise National template if needed.
  3. Create a set of User Guides to support unit template.
