The Office of Technology is looking for developers/software engineers with experience in either php5+ or drupal6+, preferably both. We have several projects for you to get involved in now and more coming. You must have experience in these areas and be interested in developing new and different applications. You will be expected to participate in team development efforts and/or individual projects of importance to the Auxiliary. BRANCH CHIEF DOCUMENTS & TEXTS
The Department of Training has established a new Branch within the Instructional Services Division. We are seeking an Auxiliarist who has experience as an Editor or Copy Editor and is familiar with APA and MLA style types. The candidate will have an excellent command of the English language with the ability to edit documents and text books to ensure that they conform to acceptable APA, MLA and/or Coast Guard styles. Must be familiar with copyright rules and rules of attribution. The candidate is able to lead and guide their assistants in meeting the established goals of the Branch ensuring that work product meets quality and editorial standards. The candidate will have at least three (3) years of technical experience. There is no Auxiliary longevity or other Auxiliary qualification requirement. The candidate will have an excellent command of the English language with the ability to write examinations and tests that test for required knowledge. In addition, the candidate will be able to make on-going assessments to ensure that tests meet acceptable quality, reliability, and validity standards. Must have a working knowledge of statistics. Ability to use SPSS a plus. The candidate is able to lead and guide their assistants in meeting the established goals of the Branch ensuring that work product meets established standards. The candidate is collaborative and works seamlessly with other Branches or Divisions. The candidate will have at least four (4) years of technical experience. There is no Auxiliary longevity or other Auxiliary qualification requirement. The National Response Department, Telecommunications Division is looking for two (2) Branch Assistants to help bring greater focus to our direct support of the Coast Guard. The individuals who fill these positions will act as our points of contact (POC) for Coast Guard Command Area Master Stations on the East and West coasts (CAMSLANT & CAMSPAC) and the AUXMON stations affiliated with the CAMS.
An extensive background in Auxiliary or Coast Guard Telecommunications is essential as is computer literacy. In addition a military background will be helpful. These are exciting and challenging positions that will require outreach and teamwork with Active Duty Commands and other Divisions and Departments. The National Response Department, Telecommunications Division is looking for a Branch Assistant for Contingency Communications to assist with development and implementation of a methodology for the provision of contingency communications services that will support both the Auxiliary and the active duty Coast Guard. The BA-RTW will serve as an Auxiliary HF Net Manager in the PAC Area and will serve as Auxiliary Liaison and Auxiliary Line Point of Contact (POC) with Communications Area Master Station Pacific (CAMSPAC) for Contingency Communications.
A background in Telecommunications and computer literacy will be helpful. This is an exciting and challenging position that will require outreach and teamwork with Active Duty Commands, other Divisions and Departments. - Performance Measurements Department - Various Positions
The Performance Measurements Department is seeking members to serve on the National Staff in a number of positions. These members would be tasked with identifying ways of measuring our performance in each of the mission areas in which the Auxiliary is active. Tasks will include articulating the outcomes and results expected in each mission area, summarizing and evaluating information available through our existing information systems, identifying new ways of gathering information not currently available, performing qualitative analysis through tools such as surveys or polls, and preparing reports on conclusions developed as a result of this analysis. Skills desired include proficiency in the use of email, internet, Microsoft Word and Excel, AUXDATA, and AUXINFO. exciting program helps assit the active duty Coast Guard on station,
working with the them and their families in their time of need. Because the Department of Human Resources mirror's the Coast Guard's
HR department, our Ombudsman program uses the Coast Guards Ombudsman
manuals. All member's who wish to join the program, will be vetted by their District Commodore, and the CG station's commanding officer.
