You are entering an Official United Coast Guard Auxiliary System, which may be used only for authorized purposes. The U.S. Government, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security and or any other Government Agency may monitor and audit usage of this system, and all persons are hereby notified that use of this system constitutes consent to such monitoring and auditing. What Information We Collect

Our system routinely collects information about origin and site navigation of website visitors. To collect this data, the site may use "session cookies". A "session cookie" is stored in temporary memory and is not retained after the browser is closed. This information is used only to help us continually modify the site based on use patterns and is not linked to any personal identifying information. We may collect any identifying or personal data on site as deemed necessary for operations, site standards or as required by law or U.S. Government requirement.

Who Is Collecting The Information

The people using aggregate website access information include but are not limited to Auxiliary staff, in particular, our web team, Elected Auxiliary Leadership, U.S. Coast Guard Staff, U.S. Government staff and other national security teams. If a visitor submits additional identifying information, that information is available  to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary staff who will be involved in implementing the requested activity.

How We Will Use The Information

Information about website use patterns will be utilized by the web team and other appropriate United States Coast Guard Auxiliary staff to modify and enhance the website. Identifying individual information (such as name, e-mail, and address) may also be used. Persons submitting such information consent that this information be shared on a "as neeeded" basis within the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, U.S. Coast Guard or U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

With Whom Will The Information Be Shared

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary does not sell, share or release any information about website users to any third parties, unless requested to do so by that user. Personal information about individual website users, as submitted as part of a service or information request, will not be shared for other than the stated purpose in any way without specific consent from the user. However, we shall disclose information as required by law or when required as part of securing the interests of the United States or its ascents.

Consumer Choices

Personal information about website users is collected only as part of a request for service. If information is required in order to provide a service, the website user will be informed as to which information in optional and which is essential for receipt of the service. Users have the option of asking that personal information be removed from our site once the service has been completed. Users also have the choice of ending any subscription or request for information by submitting a cancellation request to the National Help Desk.

If users do not wish to have any "cookies" attached to their browser, they may disable cookies through their browser or Internet service company.

Email Security

Email links are provided as a means to contact to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary forces. The sender's return email address will be used to respond to comments and questions and may be made available to other members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Because normal e-mail is not encrypted, the possibility exists that unauthorized individuals may intercept e-mail messages. The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is not responsible for privacy of e-mail messages.
