Welcome to Incident Management

 

The goal of the Incident Management Division is to foster communication, standardization, and interoperability in USCG Auxiliary planning, response, and incident management systems.  We use models that promote alignment with Coast Guard mechanisms and procedures to improve communication, coordination and cooperation in planning and response activities.  We provide tools, training and assistance to Auxiliary leadership and members to improve our overall planning, readiness and response capability for all-hazard scenarios, including acts of terrorism, wildland and urban fires, floods, hazardous materials spills, nuclear accidents, aircraft accidents, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, war-related disasters, and others. 

We consist of a Division Chief, four Branch Chiefs, and a Branch Assistant.

The CHIEF, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION addresses issues and devises solutions for member participation in USCG Auxiliary planning and force readiness.

Chief, Incident Management Planning Branch (BC-OIP)

The CHIEF, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT PLANNING BRANCH addresses issues and develops solutions in USCG Auxiliary contingency planning and exercise management. 

Chief, Incident Management Response Branch (BC-OIR)

The CHIEF, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSE BRANCH addresses issues and develops solutions in USCG Auxiliary operations & resource planning. 

 Chief, Incident Management Systems Branch (BC-OIS)

The CHIEF, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS BRANCH addresses issues and develops solutions in USCG Auxiliary incident management and related systems.

Chief, Incident Management Sector Relations (BC-OIC)

The CHIEF, INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SECTOR RELATIONS addresses issues and develops solutions to foster relationships in the sectors between the Active, Reserve, and Auxiliary components. 

Branch Assistant - Public Affairs, Incident Management (BA-OIM)

The BRANCH ASSISTANT – PUBLIC AFFAIRS is responsible for the development and direction of the Incident Management Division’s organized communications program to communicate best practices to sector stakeholders and promote Auxiliary planning and readiness.
