December 2009 - TCT Mandatory refresher session for 2010

The Team Coordination Training (TCT) refresher session is required in 2010 and is now available.  This annual requirement for operations personnel includes the 2010 TCT Class slide Presentation, 2010 TCT Facilitator Resource Guide, and the 2010 TCT Participant Reference.  This is one hour refresher session, which emphasizes crew problem solving and the seven key components of Team Coordination Training (TCT).

To download a copy of these presentations right-click on the links above and select "Save link as" from the pop up menu.  [Posted: 23 December 2009. Source: Bruce Pugh, DVC-RE]

Note: All of the TCT materials must be reviewed and approved at several levels in the Auxiliary and on the Gold side.  This is to insure that all is in compliance with the latest and often changing CG and CG Auxiliary policies and procedures.

To insure that the material will be presented as reviewed and approved, we only publish them in PDF format.  There are 3 documents, the facilitator presentation slides, a guide for the facilitator, and a guide for the student.

The PDF files may be presented in the same way that Power Point slides are displayed, either directly on a computer screen or projected.  Set Adobe Reader to display one page at a time, full frame.  Selecting the next page will allow the presenter to step through all of the slides of the presentation. UpTop In Operations  Error Correction! Nav Rules Test Currency - there was an error in an article in the March edition of UpTop in Operations regarding currency requirements for the Nav Rules test for Coxswains or PWOs.  The article should have stated that for currency maintenance, Nav Rules are now due on the five-year anniversary date of the original test and Coxswains (or PWOs) no longer have until 31 December to do their 5-year requalification.  This means that your currency can and will expire in AUXDATA during a calendar year when you hit this 5 year anniversary date and you will fall automatically into REYR status and not be able to request orders.  If this happens, your local DIRAUX office will have to re-instate you after you have taken the requalification test.  Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
